Born at Coaticook, June 17, 1874, son of GEO. O. DOAK, B.C.L., and CATHERINE E. SLEEPER; ancestors came from west of Scotland and north of Ireland, seven brothers coming to America in 18th century, some settling in Quebec and New Brunswick and other in U.S. Grandfather was a pioneer in Compton Co. and father a prominent lawyer and batonnier of Bar of St-Francis; E. Coaticook High School and University of Maryland, Baltimore; 1890-95 paymaster Penman Mfg. Co., Coaticook; 1907-9 manager E.T.Bank, Farnham; 1904-7 manager E.T.Bank Magog; 1909-1915 manager C.B.of Commerce at Danville; since 1915 Thetford Mines. A.F. & A,M; Anglican , Conservative; married GRACE B. BOYLE, daughter of REV. F. J. BOYLE, of Frampton. Oct 16, 1901; children, MALCOMB H., 1904; MARGUERITE C., 1905; GEO.
