    3. "13 PROVINCE HILL CEMETERY The cemetery lies just above the covered bridge on land settled by pioneers from New England. Tombstones date back to the mid 1800's. Families names found here are: Andrew Gardyne [1792-1866], his wife Betsy McGregor [1792-1867], Nicholas Blanchard [1849-1919], his wife Amelia Santaw [1854-1921] among others. Mr. Clarence Blanchard, an early pioneer, moved to Newport, Vermont, but returned to Province Hill, QC, for several years to cut grass.
