Hi Art, You may remember me from Knowlton High School, your sister Barbara was in my class throughout high school. Hope life is being good to you. My father's great-grandparents came from Markinch area of Fife in Scotland in the early 1830s (Andrew Brunton & Mary Elizabeth Ruthven Johnston). They bought land & lived in Iron Hill, where they are buried. There is a gravestone in the Knowlton cemetery for a George Brunton which says it was erected by his brother Andrew. George died in 1855. His name also appears on the Valuation roll of the Municipality of the township of Brome for 1855, as a shoemaker. Have you come across any other references to a George Brunton in Knowlton? Thanks.
