This morning there was another front page story in the Ottawa Citizen regarding a Quebec cemetery charging $2200.00 to permit burial in a plot "Purchased" in 1901 in Aylmer Quebec. In the story this time it states that Quebec Law changed in 1999 permitting this, in this case the 99 year lease. I have the full story but am not sure if copying and pasting is permitted. Again this was a privately managed Roman Catholic cemetery. Is there anyone on this site that is familiar with this Quebec law that permits this and could explain the law to us.
