    3. I have just resubscribed to the list and want to give a brief outline of my Eastern Townships interests. My earliest Elliott Ancestor is Jeremiah (1780) and Ann Trotter (1782) Elliott I descend through their son George born about 1810 in Ireland married Mary Bell and through their son John Elliott born 17 May 1839 in Ulverton, Quebec. John Married Mary Ann Lyster born 03 Oct 1846 Kingsley, Durham, Quebec, daughter of Philip Lyster and Jane Martin. Am most interested in any old Elliott pictures!! Philip Lyster was born 1819 Clonaslee, Ireland and Jane was born 29 Jan 1826 to Thomas Martin and Sarah Cummings born 29 Aug 1802 in either Wheelock or Lyndon, Vermont. Sarah Cummings was the daughter of Adams Cummings and Leah Hubbard born 1774 in Chesterfield, Cheshire, New Hampshire. This family immigrated to Canada about 1816 and Adams (or Noah) died in Durham in 1822. They may have been Free Will baptists. Many children from the line of Philip Lyster and Jane Martin went back to Vermont & New Hampshire to live. I am most interested in finding any leads to Thomas Martin (or George Thomas) who was married to Sarah Cummings who died Jan 20, 1858 and buried in Holy Trinity Church Cemetery, Kirkdale. I know nothing of Thomas Martin. He would have been born around 1795/1800 and may have gone back to Vermont after his wifes death. Some of Their children are: 1.
