Hello Listers, Today, I had to look through an 1988 Sherbrooke newspaper for a death.. & stumbled upon an article written by Bernard Epps (in two issues). Had forgotton Mr Epps used to have a history column in this newspaper where he described some of the E Twp 's "colourful" past citizens. This story : Nov 4 & Nov 11 1988 - discussed one Alexander Burns..from E Bolton (bn nr Lake Champlain in 1816) . It was a murder story & Mr Burns was hanged (in Montreal) on Sep 6,1861. Mr Epps refers the reader to the Waterloo Advertiser of May 31, 1861. -- Pennie
