The Cassandra Manifests of 1907 had the following column headings for the passenger pages. >From the LHS: Col.0: = Col.8 = Line no. Col.1: Number of S.S. Cassandra Ticket Col.2: Amount of Cash. To be filled in by Immigration Agent at Port of Landing. Col.2: Name of Passenger Col.4a/b: Age of Adults Male/Female Col.5: Children under 14 years of age. [Their age is actually entered.] Col.6a/b: Able to Read/Write Col.7: Married or Single Col.8: = Col.0: No. of Passenger [This refers to the top line instruction to the Purser to give each passenger a card stating the page and line no. that they are entered on the manifest.] Col.9: Profession, Occupation or Calling of Passengers Col.10: Nation or Country of Birth Col.11: Births at sea Col. 12: Deaths at Sea Col.13: Place of ultimate destination of Passengers excepting "Tourists and returned Canadians" who are to be so described.
