Interested in information related to the families of the sisters Elizabeth(b.1842) and Margaret(1839-1889) Brickley and their husbands David D. Beattie and Thomas Arthur Beattie, respectively. David D. Beattie(1842-1874) and Elizabeth had at least four children: Christina Jane(1862), John(1865), Lillian May(1867) and Gilbert(1869). Thomas A. Beattie(1836-1898) and Margaret had at least nine children: Mary(1861), William Henry(1863), Betsy Jane(1865), Eleanor Eva(1868), Melvin David(1870), Melissa Ann(1873), Lorena Agnes(1875-1896), Thomas Charles(1876) and Sheldon Herbertson(1879). Of these Eleanor Eva married William Paige in 1890 in Acton-Vale and Melissa maried Alexander Kinear Grady in 1903 in Brompton. They may have also had a son Kenneth. Elizabeth and Margaret were two of the 14 children of Joshua Brickley and Mary Ann Montgomery of Durham Township, Drummond County, Quebec. At this point there is only have information on the families of two of the children: Jane Brickley who married John Lyons and migrated to St. Marys, Ontario and James Montgomery Brickley who married Annie Munro and headed to Saskatchewan. The fate of the other twelve children and their families is not clear.
