I am looking for information on the family of Laura Donaldson Williams b. about 1804 possibly in Bolton, Shefford Co. The only truly solid pieces of information I have on her is her marriage HUNT, John (bach. of Bolton), mar. WILLIAMS, Laura (spin. of Shefford), on 3 Mar 1823 in Shefford (C of E). and her burial in Athens(Farmersville) Cemetery, Leeds Co. Dec. 15, 1850. I am not sure if the Donaldson part of her name is a 'second name' or a name from an earlier marriage. Her mother may have been named Fanny, possibly Frances, and is supposed to have come from Ireland. She may have had a sister Betsy who married a Gurlick (Garlick?) and possibly a brother Peter who is recorded in the 1825 census for Bolton. I have no idea just how firmly rooted the family was in Shefford or if I should be looking in other areas of the Eastern Townships.
