    1. [QC-ETANGLO] Martins in Cival War
    2. Bonnie Robillard
    3. Could anyone tell me how I can locate my Martin Family that may have gone back to the States to fight in the Civil War from Kirkdale, Durham Quebec. Specifically Arthur born 28 Nov 1848; George b. 3 Feb 1842; Edward b. 04 Nov 1833 and Henry b 06 Sept 1839. Also their father Thomas Martin disappears from the area but he probably would have been too old to join. He would have been born around 1800, so in his 60's. Would men of that age be accepted to fight in the Cival war. I have a list Martins who were in the Cival war, from the Vermont Cival War - Surname Index. There is a Thomas, South Hero 2 Inf, G A few Henry Martins, one South Hero, 12 Inf. C.An Edward Westfield, 15 Inf, H. If there is any history that would be useful, I would like to hear about it. I had heard that there were recruiters in the area. Thank you very much, Bonny
