While I do not show an obvious intersection with the Groat's that you list, I do believe there may a connection between some of your data and my own. I have a pair of GROAT's that married two STONE daughters. Ebenezer GROAT m. Rhoda STONE and John GROAT m. Anna Maria STONE. Ebenezer was born abt. 5-Apr-1800 (grave marker age). Ebenezer and John were in Stanbridge QC when they met the STONEs. They subsequently moved to Whitby ON and then on to St. Charles MN. The researcher that provided me with the GROAT data was Audrey GROWT - hopefully she is reading this list. Anyway I do have some limited land record documentation on the two GROATs that I mention. I would welcome any original citation information that could put these individuals in context, although they are a 'fringe' family as far as my own research goes.

I am still looking for other researchers working on the GROAT/GROWT families who were in Whitby, Ontario 1830-1854. Ebenezer and Rhoda Groat are known to me but no brothers/sisters of Ebenezer or his parents have been documented. I believe the family was Baptist and they married about 1830-33. Audrey Growt
