    3. Hi Carl, The 1851 Census is available to view for free on the Library & Archives website. Following your notes on where to find him in the census, I found him within a couple of minutes. Here is the direct URL to the pdf of that page on the Archives website: http://data2.collectionscanada.ca/1851_pdf/e093/e002307360.pdf You will notice that the 1851 census is not broken down by house/family so it sometimes can be tricky to figure out who are all together in the same household. William H. Shepherd appears to me to be living in the Eldridge household.
