OBITUARY - Springfield Daily Republican - April 13, 1942 BION HOPKINSON BION HOPKINSON, 85, of 44 Sumner Avenue, died at his home Saturday night after a short illness. He was born in Sherbrooke, Que., the son of WILLIAM and CLARINA (SMITH) HOPKINSON. He had lived in Springfield for the past 48 years and was well known as the proprietor of the EASTERN ENVELOPE PLANT. He retired from active business about two years ago. He was a member of the Church of the Unity and of the Masons. Besides his widow, ADDIE C. CHASE, he leaves a brother, ORION HOPKINSON of Waterville, Que., and two sisters, MRS. LILY HOPKINSON SLEEPER of St. Petersburg, Fla., and MRS. VIOLET MARY HOPKINSON JOHNSTON of Fitchburg, and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held at the parlors of the DICKINSON-STREETER company, tomorrow afternoon at 3:30 with an organ prelude at 3. REV.
