I am searching for HIGGINS in Missisquoi and neighboring areas. My great-great-grandfather was Jonas HIGGINS, son of Jonas Laraway HIGGINS (son of Benj. HIGGINS and Mary Laraway)& Margaret SEARS (dau. of Peter SEARS & Josephine LaTOUR). Jonas L. and his children moved to NY and then to Vermont, but traveled back and forth often, appearing on the 1850 in NY, 1870 & 1880 in VT, and in 1881 they were in Cote-Ste-Paul, Hochelaga. I am trying to find records of Jonas' parents, Benjamin & Mary. The following are Benj. & Mary's children: Joseph John HIGGINS Jonas L.
