I was going through our list's archives this AM and see we used to have ROLL CALL's and wonder if that might be a good idea about now. The Worcester County, MA., list that I also belong to had a fabulously successful ROLL CALL a while back where everyone listed where they lived and what a marvelously diverse group we turned out to be. Just a suggestion. BRICK WALL: I will list my most frustrating and elusive ancestor. My 2 great grandmother. Seeking place of birth, parents and siblings. CLARINA HOWARD SMITH b. March 08, 1829 Quebec, m. April 14, 1851 Sherbrooke, d. December 10, 1907, buried Elmwood Cemetery, Sherbrooke, Quebec. * Had seven children: WILLIAM, BION, ORION (died young) RICHARD ORION, LILLIE, ROSE and VIOLET. Found in 1851 Sherbrooke census, 1870 US census - Norton, VT., 1881 Canada Census, Coaticook, Quebec & 1901 Canada census for Sherbrooke, Quebec. I have tried to get her birth record from the Quebec Archives in Sherbrooke to no avail. They don't even answer my requests. Very frustrating! WHERE do I live? I live in McKinleyville, Humboldt County, California, on the coast about 100 miles south of Oregon.
