My gr-gr-gf Simon STONE and gr-gr-gm, Emma DELINE families were originally in the Eastern Twp. and moved on to Ontario and then the U. S. to MI abt. 1865. Simon was the s/o Thomas Stone and Hannah Deline. Thomas was the s/o Simon Stone and Anna Schoolcraft. I haven't been able to find the parents of Emma. Their daughter, Martha Jane Stone was my gr-gm. I recently obtained the death cert. of my gr-gm's brother, Nelson Stone and in it, his daughter had given the info. that his mother was Emma Schoolcraft. ??? I had seen the surname for Emma as being DELINE on other children's death certs., so am not sure who was confused. I know I am now. ;-) I live in Canton Twp., a suburb of Detroit, MI.
