Sorry for the "wrong" information. I meant that many of these people wound up in the Eastern Townships as it is proven by many of the names you will find here. If you are looking for English Speaking persons in Quebec, the Huntington area was settled by Scots and Irish and as the records show, these are ancestors of later generations of the Eastern Townships,,Brome, Compton, Stanstead, etc. Dundee borders Fort Covington in Franklyn County, New York and you will find many of these same people enlisted in Franklin County in the Civil War in the states. Many are buried in cemetaries just across the border. It wasn't my intent to mislead,,,,but to help those trying to find missing records/ancestors. There are several good resource census in Huntington County and Franklin County that help to put families together.
