    1. Brothers, Robert, Joseph KERR, married 1890's?
    2. Betty
    3. Good morning, When responding to the query about the town of Newport or New Port in Compton County, I was reminded that I don't think I have asked a particular question about my great-grandfather's brothers. The 1881 Census shows the family of Robert and Elizabeth KERR living in New Port, Compton County. Their sons, Robert, 18, and Joseph, 14, were living with them. We know that the family came down to Massachusetts before 1900 as Robert and Elizabeth KERR both died in Everett, MA, shortly after that. But, I have yet to find out whether they and their youngest sons traveled down in the 1880's or 1890's. One thing which might help narrowing down the search is to find out whether the sons, Robert and Joseph KERR married in Canada before they migrated to Boston with their parents. .. Is there any way to find marriage records in Compton County for the 1880's and 1890's? .. (I have only the first names of their wives, and am curious whether they were sisters. I am also curious whether the wives traveled to Boston with Robert and Joseph and then married down here. Just guesses.) Betty (near Lowell, MA, USA) (I have just moved to a new home, and I do not have easy access to my boxes of genealogy papers until January.)
