I have considerable information on the Davol family that changed their name to Dee in the late 1700's. They were from Connecticut but Elijah Dee settled in Georgia Vermont about 1790 (he was my great great great grandfather). Many of his descendants came to Missisquoi County. I keep running into the Dee family in northern VT and wondering if there was a connection to them. Your Sarah Dee does not appear to be from this family, unless she was a widow and Dee was her married name. The only thing I know is their names - Michael and Sarah (DEE) HARDY from Dunham, Quebec. I'm not even sure if that is right. However, the death certificate I got their names from, Effa Ann HARDY SWEET, my great-great grandmother, was supposedly born in NY and not in Canada as the death certificate says.
