The early DAVIDSONs have me confused. The Thomas DAVIDSON who married Sophia HOGG in 1833 and Ann BAIN in 1861 is apparently the George Thomas DAVIDSON who is son of George Thomas DAVIDSON and brother of Robert Thomas DAVIDSON who Phoebe ALDRICH. Who was the Thomas DAVIDSON who married Jane ANNESLEY and had 5 children in Inverness 1838-1845. Did [George] Thomas marry 3 times or is this a different Thomas? The names of the children, George, Robert, Sophia, Agnes, Thomas all suggest a connection to the other family, and the absence of children for [George] Thomas and Sophia (HOGG) DAVIDSON lead me to think she may have died before 1838.
