I too have been trying to establish the location of St Marys. On several of my ancestor's vital records who were born between 1820-33 it states - born St Marys C.E. It has been suggested that this St Marys may be what is now known as Marieville, as this fits the pattern of migration from Canada to the US around 1828. But I am not so sure, I believe that the St Marys I am looking for is actually in the Eastern Townships and perhaps more specifically around the Mansonville, Potton, P.Q. areas. I have recently come across a St Marys parish in Franklin Co VT which began around 1850s but this seems to put this St Marys out of the time frame for my ancestors.
