The 16th Annual Amadon Family Association Reunion will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2000 in Lennoxville, Quebec, Canada. The first scheduled meeting will be from 1:30 to 4:00 PM at Adams Hall, Bishop University with a BBQ following at 5:30PM. If anyone is interested in attending, please contact Bev Loomis at mbloomis@ican.net John Amadon, the Canadian founding father, left Massachusetts in 1805 and immigrated to the Eastern Townships of Ireland and Shipton. He married Sarah Thurber daughter of Isaac Thurber and step daughter of Drusilla Hicks (Isaac's second wife). John and Sarah Amadon's first child Charles was born in Ireland, Buckingham County, Quebec in 1814. The children of John and Sarah married into families with the surnames of McCartney, Kimball, Wilson, Ricker, Rolfe, Harvey, and Stevens.
