I have a William Bryant who had sons Isaac, William Patrious, and Leslie. I don't have his wife's name. I am going on the assumption that Isaac is my line. He and unknown had Francis b. 02 Mar 1787 who married Susannah Griggs b. 1792, about 1819. My line continues with their son, Jared, born 02 Jan. 1820 in Shefford, Quebec. I am looking for information on Isaac Bryant, father of Francis, and his wife. And his parents who are supposed to be William and unknown. Isaac was born about 1767 and his father, William about 1747. They were granted land in Potton, PQ and Hemingford, Que. as Loyalists. Does anyone know of this family or have reference to the individuals? Thank you for any information on them, Lynn My notes on Bryant: Land Grants: Leslie Bryant Potton Brome 200 1803 27-May B Grants 164 226 Isaac Bryant Potton Brome 200 1803 27-May B Grants 164 226 - Isaac Bryant Hemingford Huntingdon 200 1803 17-Jun B Grants 143 486 - Lynn I searched four books on the early history of shefford and the founders of the eastern townships in old old books and that was what there was for records. That 84th highland regiment was made up with people from Ny, the Carolinas, scots and irish and people from Nova Scotia In the Loyalist Lists by Paul Bunnell the only William Bryant listed is from Nova Scotia. Research the Captain McLean 84th regiment and see what you find. Your Francis Bryant was not born in Shefford or Potton. there weren't any Bryant's in early records of Shefford, the Savage guy was from Alburgh and brought Bell and Griggs with him but not Bryant's. _http://genforum.genealogy.com/bryant/messages/454.html_ (http://genforum.genealogy.com/bryant/messages/454.html) I am a direct desendant of William Patrious Bryant of pei Canada William Patricious Bryant was born in Birmingham England Isaac Bryant of Hemingford & Fort St Johns (Montreal) 1790's.
