I need some geography help, please! 1. What county is Rawdon in? From my limited map resources it looks as if it is in Montcalm Co., but a later writeup on this family (Castle), calls it "Rawden, Ramsey Co." 2. An 1851 census entry for Asher Castle calls his occupation something that looks like "founder." It does not look like the "farmer" entries elsewhere in that area. Is the Lacorne, Terrebonne Co. area an iron mining region? If so, that may account for an occupation as a founder. 3. The Rawdon and Lacorne areas appear to be significantly removed from the Eastern Townships. Were they peopled more by French-speaking persons rather than Anglophones? 4. Would someone please review for me the affiliation of Sutton? The 1851 census calls Sutton in Missisquoi Co., yet some documents I have describe Sutton as being in Brome Co. (I think I once knew the answer to this, but I can't remember what it was!) Thanks much for any help! Judy
