Bernie, I just ran across these records on the LDS Church's IGI database: Pamelia Wadleigh, b. Jun 1808, Hatley, , Connecticut (there is also a Hatley in Quebec, so this could be a wrong assumption); d. 18 Dec 1844; daughter of Jesse Wadleigh and Lucy Turner. According to this record, she married Horace Hovey in 1829 in Hatley. There's no birth info for him, but his death date is listed as 11 Dec 1871. There's another record for Horace Hovey, b. 21 Dec 1798, Windham, Connecticut, same death date as above. Show's him as the son of Ebenezer Hovey and Rebecca Simmons. There are numerous entries for Wright Hovey, b. 23 Jul 1833, Hatley, Stanstead County, Quebec; d. 22 Oct 1884; son of Horace and Pamela Hovey. Shows marriage to Lois Mehitable Hitchcock on 24 Oct 1860, also in Hatley, PQ. Thanks for your message Regi. I think you have helped me identify an error. I show Horace born Dec 21 1798 in Hatley. You mentioned Connecticut as another location which seems to be more likely the correct place of birth for him. I don't think his father Ebenezer and mother settled in the Township for another year or two later.
