Hi Listers; I received a copy of my ggrandfather's obituary today for Gordon Stanley Martin in 1966 and learned that he went by Bill. He also had a sister named Catherine and she married into the SURPHLIS name. Wondered if anyone out there may be searching this name at all as I would be very interested in hearing from them. Thank you Karen B.C
DALGLEISH, Adam farmed in St Croix, Lotbriniere county, in 1839 when he married Isabella Johnston (daughter of James Johnston SR. all of Inverness.) Adam ends up in 1861/71 census in Halifax South with his brother and no wife or children (aged 14 to 21 in 1861) ......think he might have been visiting and I want to find his wife maybe in St Croix. I wonder if anyone has access easily to 1851/61 and 71 census records for that area Thanks so very much! Would anyone happen to know where one could find out who is buried at the Anglican cemetary in Cumberland Mills...thanks to all...
Hi Friends and family, I made an error in the reminder of tonite's Canada Genealogy Chat. I said it was for Weds. the 15 Aug. Naturally, some people cannot read a calendar. LOL The correct date so as not to confuse anyone is tonite, Weds. the 16th of Aug. Have a great day and hope to see everyone tonite. Sue macduff@infi.net
Hi, Reminding everyone of tonite's Canada Genealogy Chat, Weds. 15 Aug., at http://huntsville.about.com/mpchat.htm from 8-9 PM EASTERN TIME. For any new people, just click on the link for chat at the home page. On the next page, click on the FLOAT tab to put any ads or banners behind the chat box then enter a name you want to use. Do not fill any other box. Then click ok, connect and you will be in the chat room. You will see a long narrow box just below the chat box which says "Type Here" This is where you start typing. Enter who you are working on in CAPS. Then hit enter. This will put your remark up into that chat room. Before you leave, say good-bye and give us a minute or two to respond then click on the log off link and leave the site just as you would any other website. Hope you all can come as the more who show up. the more links and help we can accomplish. We had a very nice chat last week. Hope more of you can come and find some "lost" family or some great suggestions on finding those lost relatives. Sue macduff@infi.net
Hi Listers; I recently found out thanks to a very dear and sweet lady, that my grandfather, whom I was searching for remarried in 1947 to Eileen Agnes WILLRICK. Lesle Cecil MARTIN, was my grandfather who was born April 5, 1916 in Montreal and died June 2, 1984 in LaSalle. I was wondering if anyone out there was searching any WILLRICK's at all? I have no further information regarding if there are any children by this couple as of yet. If anyone is searching these surnames, please contact me at damfam@uniserve.com I sure appreciate it. Thank you. Karen B.C.

It also shows Fort Lennox as a point of interest in the middle of the river at this point. This is on Iles aux Nois. Bill Brady Ottawa,, ON
FYI--In the 1960s, my brother worked one summer on an archeological excavation on the island under the direction of the University of Sherbrooke. I would presume that the U de S would be a good potential source of historical information regarding Isle aux Noix. (presuming that the U de S Archeological Society stil exists today). I would expect them to have all sorts of interesting historical data. Macmillan and Kerr ancestors: I have just returned from my trip to Inverness Quebec. I was overwhelmed by the beauty of the area. I spent 3 days with Margaret Dempsey. She gave me a tour of the sites that I wanted to see. She is absolutely amazing for 92 years. I met with a fellow lister while I was there, hello to Dale, thanks for the info. I bought a copy of the tape that the Historical Society had made, it is wonderful, and gives a great overview of Megantic Co. I highly recommend a visit to the area!! Heather
Correct, about 30 miles upstream on Richelieu or about midway from St Jean. Roman Catholic church records for this (St Paul de l'ile aux Noix have recently been made available. If that is of interest let me know.
