    2. alannah ryane
    3. Hi, my name is Alannah from Toronto and I am searching my great grandfathers family. He was born Oct 15 1884 in Sherbrooke P.Q. He was born to Walter and Ruth Hayward, who were listed as shopkeepers, on the marriage certificate when he married my g grandmother Vera Martin of Ketch Harbour Nova Scotia. He was listed as a telegraph operator and I believe he was in the army at the time as his records with the Toronto Police Department( where he where he lived and died an officer) said he joined the army at 17 until he joined the force here in Toronto. I am also searching out a Major General Henry Blakney Hayward who retired in 1885. I ran acroos his name when I was searching out regiments of foot for another ancestor. I have just started tracing this branch so any info or direction would be greatly appreciated. Alannah
