As many of you have read by now, Ancestry/Rootsweb is closing down the Rootsweb mailing lists. Many Rootsweb lists are moving to Groups.io as an alternative. While I realize our group has not been active of late, I would like to offer an option should we want to rejuvenate it.I have already created QC-ETANGLO@groups.io but will send out the invite in a few days. I have an ancestor who migrated to Elizabethtown Ny around 1848 His name was Oliver W. Oldruff he was born French Quebec around 1833. He states both his parents were all so born in French Canada. Almost no one in US or Canada with this surname. He lives and dies in Elizabethtown Ny . According to family history they were "Prussian" Could they have been Hessians from the Revolutionary War? The time period would put him as a grandson of a Hessian?
I am looking for any records for Peleg Reynolds b 1790s in Hancock Ma lived in St Armand with Pheobe Vaughn who were married in Bedford in 1812. They had 5 children one of which was Rufus C Reynolds b 1818 to 1820, he was married to Sarah Marriah Morits 1841. My ancestor (their son ) Oscar Eugene Reynolds b Bas Canada around 1849. They show up in 1851 census in St Armand. I am trying to find birth records for Rufus and son Oscar. Death record of Pheobe Vaughan or death record of Peleg Reynolds

The father's name looks like Matha., which I speculate is really Natha.- short for Nathaniel Gray who married Elizabeth Miles. I have Nathaniel placed in a Gray family as a placeholder, but I have no real information about the identity of his parents. My maternal line is all French ie. Mercier and Poulin and Couture and Arymand Just found this on what very possibly is my 4th great grandfather Thomas Boyd. Need to check out the information to be sure?Letitia was a part of my great great great grandfathers family, John Boyd who came to Enosburg, VT about 1848 died 1887 Hyde Park, Vt of kidney disease. Letitia was found in Dunham, Quebec about the same time. Thomas Boyd was John Boyd's father.Harriet E. Cady Thomas Boyd info ? I don’t have much onMaryette Trainor she was born about 1787 in Monagahan, Ireland, deathunknown. She was married to Thomas Boyd born about 1787 in Clare,Monagahan, Northern Ireland and he died 18 June 1815 (at battle) at Waterloo,Brabant, Wallon, Belgium in the final onslaught against Napoleon in theoffensive lead by Blucher. ~Barry King At the time his wife Maryette wasallegedly serving as a Lady in Paris. It is also where her daughterLetitia was born in 1815 four months after her father died. There isspeculation that since her mother served as a Lady, she was remarried to ununknown noble. Letitia seemed very educated and with money and marriedinto the Kings. This was told to me by a King family descendant, I can’tfind anything to confirm it.

Lewis Burley born Canada East, had a son, John, born. 15 Mar 1830 • St Ames, Canada East Would anyone know how I can find out who Lewis was (like names of his parents, etc. ) ? I found a marriage for him to Lucy Saffonsware, she born Canada East, no date. Trying to see where he connects to the Burley/Burleigh line. Thank you.
Seeking the marriage/information/parents for the marriage of Morrill Gray to Patience (and/or) Maria(h) Keeler (nee Hill), about 7 Oct 1841, Stanstead, P.Q. Any information greatly appreciated. Thanks!
