    3. Andrew Jackson Pyron was born in Mecklenburg County, NC in 1814or 15, the son of William A. Pyron and his wife, Nancy Crowell. He married Sarah C.M.Simmons born in Charleston,SC. (Sarah was orphaned along with a sister, Harriet and 2 brothers, Charles nd James.) Sarah was 10 years younger than Jack when they eloped. Sarah's guardian did not approve of the marriage. It is my belief the couple moved to Misissippi because the 1850 census records show them living in Marshall County, Mississippi, Holly Springs possibly still on the Findley Farm at the time. The next record we have of this family was his membership in the Masonic Lodge at Franklin, La. Then he moved to Bewick City, LA where he bought a partnership in the Mitchell Company, a mercantile business, known as the Custon House. A Charles Simmons was postmaster in Morgan City (nearby), having been appointed in 1855. By the yar 1860, both Jack and his wife, Sarah, had died, possibly of Yellow Fever. I could not find markers in the Cemeteries in Bewick City. Jack's brother, John Calvin Pyron from Nevada County, Arkansas, took at least 2 of the children back with him, Aurelius Milton for certain and possibly the oldest child, Eugenia. Later, in Lavaca County, Texas after the War between the States, Aurelius Milton Pyron moved there as well as the three sisters. They all married while living near Halletsville. Eugenia H, born in 1844 married Frank Flewellen; Aurelius Milton, born in 1846 married Virginia Blackburn, Annie date of birth unknown married George W. McGonagill and the youngest daughter, Angie married Harrison Stewart. Anyone with information on this family could be of great help to me as I have worked on this for years, with so much still incomplete. Aurelius Milton was my grandfather. Mary Bush, Waco, Texas
