Listed among the members of the Eighth Company was WILLIAM PIRANT. I assume this is William Pyron, b. 1793, d. Oct. 1844 who married Nancy Crowell on March 5, 1812 in Rowan Co., NC. This William would be the son of the William Pyron, b. 1756, who married Mary Powell and was a Rev. War soldier.
