Hello all, I think (emphasis on think) I have narrowed down my PILES to Edward Piles, living in Vermillion Co., IL at the time of the 1830 census. Wife Mary (probably), and several children. A William Piles lived fairly nearby, possibly a cousin or brother? Edward probably died within the next year or two, as his wife remarried in 1832, to James Ruckman. If I have the right Piles, he was probably born in KY, as were his wife and at least some of the children. Does this ring bells for anyone? And best wishes to Rita for a rapid recovery.
