Does anyone know anything about the PILE (PYLE)family that lived in Clayton twp Adams Co. Illinois in 1850. The census lists several that lived close to each other. I would assume that this indicates that they were probably related. Daniel appears to the the oldest and possibly the father. I have traced my gggrandfather Robert back to this vicinity. He married Temperance (Tempy) Clark on 19 Mar 1848 in Brown Co., IL. In 1850 they lived in Clayton twp, Adams Co., IL and in 1860 they lived in the adajacent Pea Ridge township, Brown Co., IL. They had the children: Alfred,Henry,John,M.E.(?),W. Elbert,Robert,Newton, and probably Lina. I have not yet unraveled the relationships of the PILES in the 1850 census,nor have I found out for sure who Robert's parents were.
