I see so many references concerning the unavailability of Howard Pyle's book that I thought I would share this bit of info with you. The Interlibrary Loan System is a wonderful service. It works like this. If your library participates in this system, one may obtain any book that is available in any other library. For instance, just recently I made a trip downtown to our county library. I asked the librarian to order a book for me. I gave her the name of the book, the publisher and some other pertinent data. She turned to her computer and found the book in a library in Texas. She ordered it. It came in the following week. It cost me $3.17 to bring the book home and keep it for 3 weeks. Now I have no idea if libraries everywhere are able to do this and since I have not requested Mr. Pyle's book, I certainly can't gaurantee that it is available. But you can't lose anything by trying.
