Hi All, Have not posted in awhile, but wanted to share a little of my vacation with you. Several days was spent looking for Pile's (died or alive). Went to Milburn, Graves Co. Ky. to Milburn Cem. We knew that my husband grandparents were buried there. Hubert L. Putman b. 1-2-1884,d.12-3-1946, Ruth Pile Putman b.4-4-1879, d. 11-7-1971. He did not know that his greatparents Richard Pile b. 9-17-1842, d. 4-7-1903, Elmina Jane Breckenridge Pile b. 5-15-1847, d. 11-20-1891, or his great great grandparents Joseph Van Meter Pile b. 2-18-1808, d. 6-17-1891, Mary E. Phillips Pile b. 12-8-1816, d. 11-17-1892 were buried there. Also found the following family members: Christopher Pyle b. 8-26-1851, d. 11-23-1890 Julia E. (wife of Christopher Pyle) b. 3-11-1860, d. 10-15-1912 B.F. (Benjamin) Pile b. 8-10-1857, d. 2-27-1915 Lillian M. Wilson (wife of B.F.Pile) b. 1-25-1868, d. 5-21-1929 Elmina Boswell Pile (wife of B.F. Pile) b. 4-5-1862, d. 7-24-1890 Joseph Garland Pile (son of B.F. Pile) b. 8-12-1892, d. 8-25-1895 F.R. Pile (Ferdinand) b. 1855, d. 1884 C.R. Pile b. 1-6-1825, d. 10-12-1907 Martha Ann wife of C.R.Pile b. 10-4-1850, d. 7-29-1931 I will have to make a return trip to this Cem., because while I was there is was raining like crazy and some to the tombstones needed cleaning, to make them readable. Next trip I'll be better prepared. Then went to St.Louis.Mo to visit his Aunt, and meet some descendants of Richard Pile. I got updates on 2 of his children Lela Pile and Kate Pile. Got names and addresses of people who might be able to give me update of some of his other children. The most wonderful thing that I was given was a picture of Richard Pile as a young man of 20 years old in his Civil War uniform. It just so happen this picture had his name and age written on the back. So I have been spending time making sure all of my pictures have names, dates and locations. I know I enjoyed my vacation and I think my husband did too. Charlene
