TO ALL THE PYLE FAMILIES, where ever you are: HAPPY NEW YEAR! Angie and I would like to wish each and every one we had contact with this year a very Happy and Prosperous New Year. This year has been one tremendous year in my genealogy history. Around the first of 1997, I found a website offering classes in genealogy and that was put on the "Net" by Spectrum Virtual University. I met a couple of true cousins and found some terriffic sites in which to search for our ancestors. The next class I took with Spectrum Virtual University was "How to Write about your genealogy," so I feel I have one leg up on my family history. I'm a couple of hundred pages into that. The truth of the matter is that I started to write this story a few years ago using my immediate family and expanded my horizons until I now have a Tiger by the tail. Our family certainly has a diverse cast of charactors including Doctor John, Ernie & Denver to start with. The Pyle family I originally wanted to write about were no less colorful and I hope that someday you will agree with me. Angie and I had a great start this prior New Year, but along about May 31st she had a heart attack that kind of put us behind the eight ball. We had planned to go East and follow the trail of the elusive William Pyle, born 1775 in Pennsylvannia, but was unable to do that because of the therapy and other reasons not with standing expenses. I was able to expand my associated family lines quite a bit, simply because they kept much better records than the Pyle families. I went from the present day to 1400+ in the Bristol line of my family in three days because of the records they left. My niece Heather Bristol has a scholarship at the University of Florida in statistical mathematics and after doing her tree I can see why. I am happy that Rachel Meyer and I have found a possibility of Zachariah Piles, born 1756 could be our next generation above William. I agree that this is the next step to Robert, Nicholas, Ralph, Francis and Richard, after all they came from the same county in England. So everybody, in order to make my New Year Happier, lets all drop what were doing and complete my family line, okay? Ron and Angie Pyle From the "Home of the Jumping Frog," Angels Camp, California.
