Back in early Dec., there was some e-mail about Howard Pyles large book about the pile-pyle family and there were some people that said that they would do look-ups, but that they needed as much information as possible to ascertail if they had the right person. The information I have comes mostly from the 1850 census of Clayton Twp, Adams Co. Illinois ,the 1860 Pea Ridge Twp, Brown Co. Il. (adjoining townships) and the Barton Co, Missouri Vital Statistics on Robert Pyle. Would someone please try to look them up and give me any available information? Robert Pile born 21 Aug or 31 Aug 1825 in unknown location in Indiana. Married: Temperance (Tempy) Clark 19 Mar 1848 in Brown Co. Il. Died: 7 Apr. 1889 in Lamar, Barton Co. Mo. Buried: old cemetary in Lamar. (This is an unplatted, unmarked cemetary, with no records) Temperances birthstate and age is different on every census from 1850 to 1910 she appears to have been born in the South between 1830 and 1835. 1st son Alfred born abt 1848 in Il. (This is my great grandfather) Died: unknown 2nd son Henry Born 04 Oct 1850 in Clayton Twp, Adams Co. Il. Died: 18 Dec. 1921 Lamar, Barton Co. Mo. 3rd son John Born abt 1853 in Il Died: unknown, (my dad can remember him) 4th daughter M.E. (?) abt 1855 in Il. Died: unknown 5th son Elbert also listed as Warthegin abt 1857 Il. Died: unknown 6th son Robert Born: abt 1862 in Il. Died: unknown 7th son Newton Born: abt 1869 in Mo. Died: unknown 8th daughter Lina Born abt 1873 in Mo. Died: unknown Also in the 1850 and 1860 there was a Daniel Pile that appeared to be in the same family grouping as Robert. He was born abt 1790 in Illigible state. The next line is almost illigible, but I believe that it is Nancy born abt 1792 in illigible state. According to the INDEX TO PROBATE RECORDS, ADAMS COUNTY, ILLINOIS, Robert died on 31, July 1871. Does the book have information to tell if he was Roberts father? If you can find any information it would be greatly appreciated. Even known what county in Indiana Robert was born in would help a lot.
