Carolyn and Wayne, Can't help directly, however can offer one suggestion. When my own grandfather died, his six children were in the room with the funeral home officials. His children answered all questions but the question concerning his parents was never asked and it came out on the death certificate as UNKNOWN. Not true. However in the obituary in the newspaper it did tell who his parents were. Is it possible that there was even a county weekly newspaper that might have given any info? You might try from that angle. Have a good holiday, and good luck.
