This is my line, at least the one in Hampshire County. I believe there were several Zachariah Piles. I need to do more research. The Zach in Monongalia Co. had a son John too according to the will you recently published. Sara, I am feeling better from the operation but it is my Meniere's that is giving me trouble. I am afraid to drive to the Orlando library, but will do that and do some more research very soon. ---------- From: pyle@airmail.net[SMTP:pyle@airmail.net] Sent: Thursday, July 24, 1997 1:02 AM To: PYLE-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Zachariah PILES While I was at the library today I recopied the Index for the Virginia 1820 Census even though it is reproduced in H.PYLES Bluebook. The thing that caught my eye was that in the PYLE bluebook there is only one Zachariah listed, in Hampshire Co. The record I copied shows Zacheriah (sic) in Monongalia Co. Are these father and son? The same ones that were in my post a few days ago re: Zachariahs will in 1840? The will was filed in Monongalia and Green Cos. for the elder Zachariah as stated in the bluebook. Was the son in Hampshire in 1820? BTW, there are three John Piles/Pyles listed in three different W.Va. counties as CSA soldiers. Sara
