Here is what I know about William and Mary Pyle, Robert and Martha Malone Pyle. My ggg-grandfather William Pyle was born 1775/76 in PA. He married Mary Jones(Janes?) in late 1700's either in Penn. or Vir. William and Mary are parents of Zachariah Pyle, Robert Pyle, Thomas Pyle, Sarah Pyle, William Pyle, Harrison Pyle and John Pyle. There were six other daughters that remain unknown. They settled in Ohio, Ross County. Zachariah and his family travelled to Fountain County, Ind. My gg-Grandfather Robert, b 1800 in VA. travelled to Eugene Twp. Vermillion County Indiana after marrying Martha Malone in 1822 in Ross County Ohio. They had the following children: William Pyle, b 1824 Ross County Ohio Samuel Pyle, b 1826 Ross County,Ohio Christopher Pyle, b 1828, IN. Alfred Pyle, b 1830 Ver. Cty, IN. Francis Pyle, b 1833 Ver Cty. IN. Mary Pyle, b 1836, Ver. Cty. IN. Martha Pyle, b 1839, Ver. Cty. IN. Mariah Pyle, b 1842, Ver. Cty. IN. William Pyle was my great grandfather, marrying Mary Mack on Dec. 24, 1846, they had eight children. Six after they settled in Ca. Samuel Pyle married Nancy Hammond in 1863 in Vermillion County, IN. They had seven children including William Clyde Pyle who married Maria Taylor. They were the parents of Ernie Pyle, the war correspondent. Christopher and Alfred died without Issue. Francis, Mary and Martha moved to Florence, Williamson County Texas with parents Robert and Martha after the 1850 census. Robert and Martha passed away before 1867. Francis married Wilson Bratton in Vermillion County IN. in 1855. The 1870 census of Williamson County,TX BRATTON, Wilson 40 M Merchant IN " Francis 37 F IN " Florence 14 F IN " Robert 12 M IN " Almah 10 F TX " Fannie 8 F TX Mary Pyle married Mark Jones in Williamson County, Texas Martha Pyle married A. T. Smith in Wiliamson County, Texas. The third child of William and Mary, born in VA. was Thomas Pyle, b 1802, he married Rebecca Essery in Ross County, Ohio and lived there all their lives. Their children were: Jerimiah Pyle, m 1860 to Ede S. Mc Cabe William Pyle, b 1824 Ross County, Ohio Martha J. Pyle, b 1853 Ross County, Ohio Alma A. Pyle, b 1855 Ross County, Ohio Eva Pyle, b 1858 Ross County, Ohio Norman Pyle, b 1860 Emmaline Pyle, b 1863, Ross County, Ohio William Pyle married Jane A. Gill, they had five Children: Cyhthia Pyle married Aaron Dresback and they had 5 children: Olive, Elsie, Edward, Clifton and Effie Martha J. married George Foster.
