Hi Bob: In checking H. PYLES book, I found an Enoch Harrison Pyles that was the son of Daniel Boone PYLES and Frances BURGESS. They were married 22 October 1868, in KY. Children listed are: James Alford PYLES; William Henry PYLES, Enoch Harrison PYLES; Leonard PYLES and Mary PYLES (who was born blind). James Alford PYLES had a son named Elba PYLES who lived in Carthage, MO. A letter is cited from Mrs. Elba (Lida W.) Pyles saying that "Daniel Boone Pyles brought his family to the Ozarks during or shortly after the War Between the States. They came from either KY or ILL. When the oldest son was 12 years old his father left and never returned. All efforts to trace him failed." Think this might be your line?
