    3. Well looks like old Enoch Harrison Pyles (1876-1956) has a father and a mother. Daniel Boone Pyles and Francis Burgess. Seems Daniel Boone Pyles was born in KY on 10-22-1868. Miss Francis....well she is still relatively unknown, except for the fact that she was left to raise the kids all alone. When the oldest son was 12 years old , who this child was, we don't know so far. Papa went up into the hills and never came back. DB had brought his family into the Ozarks shortly after the civil war. Now the way I figure...Mr. Daniel Boone Pyles had to have a mother and a father....perhaps siblings, maybe not? But he had to have come from somewhere, because he left his family in the Ozarks where they remained or at least his family line seems to have remained, in the area of AR and MO. Looking at the pictures of Sank and Fanny (Enoch and Mary Carlotta Cole) they remained quite poor all their lives, and their oldest daughter Zefria T. (Pyles) Bingham married into another poor family. Zefria was my grandmother. Kind of the situation you see in the old movie "Grapes of wrath" with Henry Fonda. The depression and those living in the Ozark mountains. Grandmother and her children lived off the land, wild berries and fruits, fished from the river they lived on, in a one room log cabin, and someone would go hunting to try to bag some meat. This is something I have never had to endure Praise God! Can anybody help me here? Going down to see some of his great grandchildren in the beginning of August and I would really like to take some information with me ...thanks everyone! bob bobette@mail.prostar.com
