Bob, My Malone search has been a bust. I'm looking for the parents of my gg-grandmother Martha Malone Pyle, who was married to Robert Pyle. Martha was born in 1802 and married my gg-grandfather in 1822 at Chilicothe, Ohio. My g-grandfather William Pyle and his brother Samuel were born in Chilicothe in 1824 and 1826, before the Pyles moved to Eugene, Vermillion Co. Indiana around the year 1827. There were tons of Malones in Eugene around that era and were very astute businessmen. Martha's father was William Malone and Robert and Martha inherited his home and property passing it down through the family. Clarence Arthur Pyle was the last to own it before he started dirt farming all over the states. Cousin Ernie Pyle wrote in his Auto-bio that Clarence Arthur Pyle ended up in LA. poorer than a churchmouse. My gg-grandparents Robert and Martha Malone Pyle were the g-grandparents of Ernie Pyle, reporter and war correspondent. They passed away in Florence, Williamson Co., TX. in the year 1867. I believe we have a connection in the David and Zachariah Piles line and I believe that this line is descended from the Francis Piles line from Prince George Co., MD., I think that we may also connect through the Richard Pile from MD. line. I think that the father of David and Zachariah Piles was James Piles, but could be John, funnier things have happened to me since I took up this crazy search. If you are serious about any type of Malone search, I can introduce you to my files on the Malones and you will definitley believe that you may be your own grandfather and grandmother!
