First of all I would like to thank Sara for starting a list. This may be what I need to finish a project that I started many years ago. What a joke! Research is never finished as "Genealogists never die, they just find another line." For those that are just starting and need help, I have much data on the Pyle and associated families in my notes and have a copy of Howard and Jane Pyle's book, "The Pyle-Pile Family in America, 1642-1980," I would love to do look-ups. My search concerns the parents of William Pyle, born 1775 in PA. who married Mary Jones or Janes of Virginia in the latter years of 1790. They had many children but the most notable were Zachariah, Robert and Thomas Pyle. They were born in VA, the others born after William and Mary settled in Ross County, Ohio ca 1808. My g-grandmother said my gg-grandfather Robert Pyle was born in 1800 in PA., rather than VA. Gg-grandfather Robert married Martha Malone in 1822 and my g-grandfather William Pyle was born in Ross county Ohio. The family then moved to Eugene, Vermillion County IN. G-grandfather William came overland to California in the early 1850's, followed by g-grandmother Mary Mack Pyle, son Darius and dau. Laura Eliza in 1854 by way of the Isthmus of Panama. The family settled in Solano County Ca. Sorry for making my first posting on the new Pyle list so long, but the more information we have the more we can help each other! Associated names are BRATTON, DOODY, JONES, MACK, MALONE, REA, ROCHE, Ron Pyle Angels Camp, Ca.
