But I would like to add a little information about you so that your Pyle names will be indexed along with the others. Please send along your direct lineage of the Pyle line in the brief format I've used for mine and Ron's. I'll put that on and index your Pyles, as well as the rest of the surnames in the line. You can stop at your Hannah PYLE and Jonathan HEACOCK or you can continue on down to yourself - that's up to you. Then from the researcher's page people will also be able to link to your page also. I should include a page of links to Pyle family information in addition to the researchers pages. Also you can include a listing of other surnames you are researching for the notes section on the researcher pages. I'm using the CCHelper program to index this. In order to index a surname it has to be in all CAPS. Because I felt it would be easier to search through the PYLE / PILE names if we included a first name also, I've put the Pyle names in as: PYLE_WILLIAM, etc. That way from the index we can at least get a feel for what families each "query" and cousin is connected to. The possibilities are almost endless here. Someone else was talking about a home page a while back, but I forget which cousin...??? If I take care of the indexing and linking, can others be working on the descendant charts and and/or family stories, etc.? I've been working on a Wohleben family page this past summer. On it we've included a descendant chart - which we printed from our genealogy programs and then "fancied" them up a little. From there we've linked to some modified family group sheets. Presently, I don't have the lineages of Nicholas, Ralph, etc., in my genealogy program - because I don't know yet what family we're linked to. If someone has that information in their database, but doesn't know how to do the HTML coding, contact me and we'll begin working on that. If you'd like to see the result of the Wohleben effort SO FAR, go to: http://www.bright.net/~buzmeyer/wohleben/index.html The Pyle page is at: http://www.bright.net/~buzmeyer/pyle/index.html > I will place the Pyle line on next -- so please look and help me with > any corrections I might need. I have referenced your page on my home > page. Terrific! Wonderful! We can get this organized fairly easily I think. Please let me know what you would ALL like this page to be.
