In the name of God amen, I Joseph Pyles of the county of Orange in the State of North Carolina, being sick in body, but of sound and perfect mind and menory, blessed be God do this 17th day of October, in the year of our Lord 1836, do make and publish this my last will and testament in the manner following, that-is-to-say. First I give brother James Pyle my saddle, I give my mother Elizabeth Simpson Ten dollars, to my sister Sarah Hughes ten dollars and also give my brother Moses and Enoch all my clothes, to be equally divided between them-and I give my brothers William+Wiley+George five cents a piece and all the rest of my money to my brother Nathan.
