He was married to Hannah_______________. John Pyles and Hannah had the following children: Amy, Joshua, Amanda M., Thomas W., and Salem L. Amy Pyles was born in 1834 in Ohio Co, Va. She died on 5 April 1896 in Marshall Co, WV. She was married to Samuel W. Geho on 24 Dec. 1857. Her second husband was James Melvin Pyles (son of George Pyles and Nancy Cloyd) on 9 Jan. 1881. Note: James Melvin Pyles was born in 1840 in Marshall Co, VA. He died in 1928. Joshua Pyles was born in 1836 in Marshall Co, VA. He was married to Catherine Geho on 24 Jan. 1857. Joshua and Catherine had a son, Presley Harley Pyles b. 1858. Amanda M. Pyles was born in 1838 in Marshall Co, VA. She was married to John W. Daugherty. Thomas W. Pyles was born in 1843 in Marshall Co, Va. He was married to Nancy M. Wallace. Salem L. Pyles was born in 1846 in Marshall Co, VA. George Pyles and Nancy Cloyd had the following children: William H., Jeremiah, John J., James Melvin, Clyde, Ruth Amanda, and David C. William H. Pyles was born in 1834 in Ohio Co., VA He died on 11 Aug. 1864. Jeremiah Pyles was born in 1836 in Marshall Co. Va. John J. Pyles was born in 1838 in Marshall Co, VA. He died on 19 Aug. 1866. James Melvin Pyles was born in 1840 in Marshall Co, VA. He died in 1928. He was married to Amy Pyles (daughter of John Pyles and Hannah) on 9 Jan. 1881. Note: Amy was born in 1834 in Ohio Co., VA. She died on 5 April 1896. James' second wife was Amanda M. Roberts and his third wife was Sarah E. Marshall. Clyde Pyles was born in 1842 in Marshall Co, VA. Ruth Amanda Pyles was born in 1844 in Marshall Co., VA. She was married to Robert Geho on 23 July 1865. David C. Pyles was born in 1844 in Marshall Co., Va.
