Hi Marjory, Enjoyed your message. I don't believe we have posted any ship's lists, good idea. Your complete message is at the bottom of my note. Yes, the "bluebook" is Howard Pyle's. Another of the Pyle list cousins, Doris Pyle Haynes, has informed us that Howard is not selling any more copies of his book except to people that he closely related. We quote from that book a lot. It is obvious that we are all working on the same group and I expect to see some breakthroughs here. Several of us are trying to locate John Pyles. This guy really got around! About 49 sightings in 1830 alone! We have a current edition here on our Pyles list and my oldest son is another! <G> All kidding aside, it looks like we are going to have to do a lot more digging in records at courthouses, libraries, etc before we are going to be able to "prove" our lines. Wouldn't it be great if someone came up with a family Bible that had the lineage all written in it? The family were Friends of Chester CO. I do not know when they left the Society. Would be interested in learning more about the line. I have read some of the email regarding the Maryland Pile Family. Were they Quakers also and have you previously posted when they came to America and to which port.? I have done no work on proving this line. I was in touch with the Howard Pyles at the time they were asembling their book, but then I did not know John B. Pyles parents so could not connect. Is this the blue book you are refering to? Thanks for any help regarding John Pyles family, I would really like to know the names of all of his children., and help in proving his line of descent. Marjory Payne
