Each Monday we'll post a question and each Wednesday we'll post some of the best responses to those questions. Here's today's question: "I have hit a road block to further research my g-grandmother's family. All we know is that she was born in 1879 in Kansas and that her maiden name was Harris. The 1920 census index listed her place of birth as Kansas, it did not list a city or county. She was married in Colorado and lived in Colorado until her death in 1952. That's all the info my family has. We do not know of any siblings, or her parent's names. I would like to obtain a birth certificate, but I need to know the county in Kansas where she was born. I live in Colorado. Where do I go from here?" To post an answer to this question, please respond ASAP by sending e-mail to webmaster@ancestry.com.
