27 Aug 1997 This information is being sent again for new members of the list. So far as I know, my Pyles were not Quakers but I am trying to get Hinshaw digitized to download to the Pyle list. I am seeking information on William Pyles (1809-1879) who lived in Washington County, PA. He had three children with his first wife whose surname was Clokey. Her first name is unknown. He had a dozen more children with his second wife, Mary Louisa SHIPLEY (1824-1917). I suspect Pyles came from MD. The parents of Mary Louisa -- Samuel SHIPLEY and Amelia RIDGELY -- were both born in England and lived in Anne Arundel County, MD.
