Rita, Peggy and all, Thanks for the tip on looking in Ky. I found these land records in KYGEBWEB for Christian Co. It seems Nicholas Pyle, Sr., Abner, Nicholas Jr, Samuel, Jno, Jno Jr., Thomas, William, William Jr., Nancy and (Nicholas Sr's) son-in-law, David Lacy (and some more Lacy's) all were granted land as early as 19 Mar 1799 and continuing until 19 Oct 1807, all on the Little River and East Fork of the Little River in Christian Co. (Nancy married Benjamin Crabtree in 1811). These may not all be sons of Nicholas, but several of them are same names appearing on this chart. If interested you may click on the KYGENWEB page to get Book and Page Numbers for obtaining records. Nicholas Pyle, Sr., (1748-1829) removed from Greenville Co., S.C. to Christian Co., Ky in 1793 then to St. Clair Co., Ill in 1818 and finally to Sangamon Co., Ill in 1825 where he died at his son Abner's house in 1829. Our local Library does not have 1790 KY census; LDS takes 3 weeks for film; and next nearest Library to me is 3 hrs away. Would one of my kind cousins who has access to that census on CD please look it up for me? I'm looking for Nicholas, Sr, and especially at the age of his oldest sons living with him. Thanks everyone!! I appreciate all this hard work.! Doris
